Review content:
My 8 year old Boxer was diagnosed w/ Irritable bowel Syndrome 2-3 years ago. A recent excacerbation sent us to the vet. She was having a hard time keeping anything down & lethargic. We have had this happen a few times in the past. Dr. Flatt examined her on a walk in basis & made a plan. One of the labs came back abnormal. This, too, has happened in the past but vets have always said it would correct with fluids (Na, K ratio). Well, he decided to look a little further. Ran another lab (cortisol challenge), and turns out she has Addison's. She has been doing great ever since being put on the appropriate medications! Thanks to Dr. Flatt for digging a little deeper as all, human and canine, practitioners should! Highly recommended!
