Review content:
I was arrested for dwi within three months of moving to Texas. Because my first court date was scheduled two weeks after my arrest, I had to scramble to find a lawyer, unfortunately I didn't know anyone who had to hire one in the past here, so I relied on internet research.\r \r Mr Morales appeared to have great credentials. I never even met or spoke with him beyond the initial phone consultation until my arraignment. Unfortunately I had failed to read the fine print of his contract and realized later that I would have to pay either another 1500 dollars to be represented by one of his affiliates or 3000 dollars to be represented by him for a jury trial.\r \r I had no idea what was going on with my case until the arraignment because every time I called his office after being on hold for 20 minutes, his assistants would tell me that they would not have any information until the arraignment. And if I tried to call his direct line, I would wait for about 10 minutes and then get a recorded message stating that no one was available and it would hang up on me without the option of leaving a message.\r \r On the day of my arraignment I found out that because it was my second offense, I did not qualify for a pre trial, so essentially I paid Mark Morales 1500 dollars to do for me what the court appointed attorney would have done.\r \r When I spoke with him for my phone consultation, he was a very smooth talker, and I believe he was misleading.
