Review content:
After numerous visits to other dress shops we ended up at Brides and Beyond. I was more then a little frustrated in my dress shopping as I wasn't finding anything that came close to what I had in mind. I felt like I was trying on the same dress over and over. I also felt like consultants were not listening to me.
We arrived at Brides and Beyond, and were immediately greeted with a smile. I was the only one there. I tried on a few dresses, and Mary actually listened to what I was saying. I noticed that she was closely watching my reactions to dresses. After a few dresses, she said, "I have the dress for you." She went to the rack and there it was.
The dress fits perfectly, but my mom wants to make it a halter top. Seeing my ambivalence about it, Mary is making it so that it is altered by buttons. I can decide the day of if I want the halter, or take it off after the ceremony, etc. I couldn't believe the price for ordering the dress and the alterations, very appropriate.
I can't say enough about how much I appreciate Mary and her shop. Other notes: I felt that she had several unique dresses as well as more traditional ones. My parents were visiting from out of state for 1 week and Mary was so accommodating; she offered to open her shop early or stay late so that we could make it to her store for the 2nd visit (my dad didn't want to shop but wanted to see the dress after we found it). Thank you Mary!
