Went to check out the ""Used 2003 Jaguar S-TYPE R"" on 10/30/2013. Had to wait an hour because they only have 1 plate for all of the cars on the lot. They were ready to let me take the car for a test drive without any of my information until, when asked, I mentioned that I was taking it to a dealership for a pre-purchase inspection. I was told by the owner that this is not possible because 1) they cannot be without the plate for an indefinite amount of time (I suggested someone follow me to the dealership 10min away and take the plate after I get there) and 2) they do not want their car ""at the mercy of someone else"". Thanked the owner for his time and left.
