Review content:
I have mixed feelings about this company. While they seem very knowledgeable and very professional, they do NOT conduct business professionally. We decided to install a wood stove, so we read reviews and were confident to call them. John came to our house, on time and gave us a lot of info and wrote an estimate. They gave us a choice of getting the stove and supplies ourselves, or they could supply it. We had already picked out a stove that was around $750.00. Theirs started at around $2500.00 so that was an easy choice. John assured me that it didnt matter to them and if we wanted to get everything, he would do the install for $885.00. He gives us a price for the pipes and chimney of almost 1700.00. We find the equivalent online for around $800.00. not cheap stuff. Name brand class A stainless steel pipe for less than half of what he quoted us. I realize they need to make a profit. mark it 15 - 20% and I would go for it...but 125% markup??.. not a chance. I tell him we are going to get the pipe and he is fine with that. He tells us he can get us the hearth pad for 350.00 and we tell him fine, do it. We pick out a hearth pad and make an appointment for the install. October 1st. He says they will call to confirm a few days before. \r \r We dont hear from them and its the day before. We have the stove and pipe now. My wife calls and they say ""we cant come tomorrow, we are stuck at another job, but we will call you tonight and reschedule.and also the hearth pad that you picked didnt arrive yet. It should have been here yesterday"" .... Well needless to say, three days pass, and we dont hear from them so I call. I get Johns voice mail and he calls me back within a half hour. Heres where I get furious. He tells me that hes looking at our stove manual and his manufacturer dont make a hearth pad big enough for our stove, but he can build one for $1100.00. So I realize at this point that three days after they miss the install, they first start looking into ordering the hearth pad. And because I didnt let them rob me on the stove and pipes, now they want to turn 350.00 into 1100.00\r \r We found the correct size pad online, delivered for $520.00. From their manufacturer. we also hired a roofer to install everything for $400.00\r \r I cant review their work, which i would imagine is top notch. As for professionalism, I have to give them an F\r \r
