We had a terrific stay at Adventureland Inn! I must admit, after reading some of the negative reviews, I was a bit worried, but once we arrived, all that fear vanished!\r

First of all, the room we stayed in was a standard room on the first floor. Must have been recently remodeled. Nice comfy beds, which is unusual in motels, nice flat screen TV, marble-like flooring, wall coverings in the bathroom. There was a little fenced in area off the back of our room, where we could park right outside - very handy to pack & unpack the vehicle!\r

Then there's the pool....AWESOME!!! WE have two small children that spent hours in the kiddie pool. It's a zero entry to 2.5-or-so ft. pool, with a little slide and a couple of other water features that made the kids giggle each time. We loved being able to sit either in the pool on the side, or in one of the chairs, just relaxing & watching them play. The roof is a dome, which can be open, or closed depending on the weather. This was especially nice since it was raining & we weren't able to go right over to Adventureland like we were planning to do. I can't imagine how we would've kept the kids happy without the pool! The swim-up bar pool was right there, which was playing tropical-type music, making you feel as if you're at a resort...not in IA! The drinks were very yummy as well!! You can sit right with your kids while enjoying an adult cocktail. \r

Granted, we don't get out all that often, but our fmaily will definitely make the 5 hour journey to Adventureland Inn again & again!
