I got dry sockets in my two extraction sites - having nothing to do with anything Dr. David did,\r some of us are just unlucky. The pain was slowly growing throughout the week, but I'm a big\r believer in the power of positive thinking (coupled with a hefty dose of delusion), so I stupidly\r waited until Friday evening to cave and admit I needed to come in. Dr. David was able to get me in the next day, and I was swiftly out of pain. He numbed me up and packed the holes with clove oil and I was instantly pain free. He said sometimes clove oil packing works after just doing it once, and sometimes you need to do it everyday for a few days - and offered to come back in and re-pack it on a Sunday (even though I'm pretty sure they're normally closed) if necessary. Pretty Awesome.
