Today, October 7 2013, my wife fell in the shower and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Fairfield. She had hurt her leg and busted her forehead above her eye, wide open. The nurses handed her some gauze and told her to hold it on there and then left her there for an hour without checking on her. The PA was nice but inept. My daughter had a similar wound abd it required internal sutures as did this one but the PA did not know how to do them and instead of getting someone who did,he stitched her up outside and sent her home with nothing to help with the pain from her badly bruised leg as well as her head. She needed 19 stitches to close the wound and no pain killers for her to take at home. When I went to pick her up,the charge nurse asked who I was and I informed them I was her husband. After I put her safely in the car, I went back in to ask to see the doctor who had seen her only to be given the HIPPA runaround by nurses who saw me with her just minutes before.\r In short, even if you are dying, try to get someplace else, you could die and your family would never know why.
