Review content:
I believe in shopping local, small businesses even if it costs more because I believe in supporting my neighborhood businesses. After searching via Google I found Wells Avenue Business Card Co which was only three blocks from my South Wells Avenue residence. \r
\r
I needed to have three full color designs made for my fine art business and cost was not a factor. I rode my bike three blocks to the location, which as it turns out is a vacuum repair business. I was undeterred as I assume the owner did business cards on the side, however I couldn't be certain because there was nothing on the building's garish, yellow and black exterior to indicate this was the case.\r
\r
A man I have to assume was the owner, was vacuuming or testing a vacuum about four feet inside the front door which was open. I didn't get off and lock my bike up because the person who could answer if that was a place I could get my job done was right there, not seven feet away from me. He saw me, and after about ten seconds turned off the vacuum and looked blankly at me. I said 'hello' to him, and his response was to continue to look at me without saying a word. \r
\r
I waited for him to return my greeting, maybe ask if he could help me with anything, but he just stared at me as though perhaps I was a leper. After about ten seconds he put both his hands in front of him, each about a foot out from his waist, palms outward. That gesture coupled with his expression was as if to say 'What the hell do you want?'\r
\r
I told him that I had been interested in getting my business card designs printed, but that he was so incredibly rude I was going to take my business elsewhere where they might appreciate my money, and with that I rode away to return home and find a business who wants my job.\r
\r
In my fifty-two years I've only been treated that poorly by a business on one other occasion. Obviously Wells Avenue Business Card Co is not in the business of making money. If you want to be treated well, by someone who isn't miserable and rude I suggest potential customers go elsewhere. I am. \r
