I have been a loyal customer of Scotty's Muffler & Brake Service for decades. It's a very old shop with a lot of history. It's been around since the 1940's. Tom bought it from the original owner. Tom is a nice guy and easy to get along with. He's also a great businessman. He's very, VERY astute and knowledgeable. He's able to explain his work. Even if you are not too knowledgeable on cars, he will explain everything in layman's terms. He won't rip you off or anything. He hires only the most skilled technicians, and he oversees the whole shop personally. He's very involved and honest, and he stands by the work of his team. They offer such a wide level of experience and services. They know what they're doing at this shop whether dealing with a vintage car, a brand new one, or everything in between. You will pay a little more at this place, but their work is beautiful. I have seen other shops do terrible work for me, and I'm an aircraft mechanic, so I know the difference between good work and bad work. There was one instance when Tom put in a new muffler for us. It lasted only eight months and looked like something had hit it. When Tom took a look, he saw that it was failing, so he put a new one back on and didn't charge me a dime. I tell all of my friends to go here. I've sent every car I've ever owned here even though I live twenty-five miles away. All of my kids bring their cars here. It's an outstanding company that you don't find all the time. The best thing about them is that they haven't changed over the years.
