Review content:
I've been a guitarist for about 10 years, and have had a great deal of work done on my guitars. Terry is the only person I trust to do it, and whenever he sets up my instruments, they just feel right.\r \r I'm surprised at vfm78's comments - Terry's been more than fair with his pricing (and actually quite competitive even next to the retail giants), and I've gotten many excellent deals there. As to the lighting being low, it's really not. I've never had any trouble seeing/closely examining anything in there, and the shades are down so the guitars don't fade/discolor in the sun (and yes, discoloration is quite common with most guitar finishes). And judging by the fact that you put ""set up"" in quotes, I'm guessing you aren't a terribly experienced guitarist. Anyone who plays enough guitar knows that not only is every instrument (including those of the same make/model) is different, and even more so, every guitarist is different. Some folks need incredibly high action so they can slam away at chords, others prefer very low action for a softer touch. I'll have my guitars set up differently depending how I intend to use a particular one. If I slam on a low action setup, I'll get plenty of buzzing. Conversely, if I grip too hard on a high action setup, nothing will sound in tune. And that's the tip of the iceberg.\r \r It's true that Terry has a colorful personality, but he's as honest as the day is long, and has always been incredibly kind to me. The rest of the staff have been excellent as well; I enjoy every visit, whether I'm buying or not!
