Review content:
I am handicapped, so Floorgem probably had to do a little more than they had planned to do. They moved all my furniture out of the rooms they were working on, including a sofa and two lazy boys (one of which is electric), and they cleared out everything. Then a very nice, young man came in and sanded the floors. That took all of Monday.
Tuesday they came back in and put the stain on. They did two bedrooms, a hallway, and a living room/dining room that has an archway between the two sections. It wasn't like it was closed off. If I did one, I had to do the other. The man who did that was a worker; I'll tell ya. I don't know his name, but that young man worked very hard.
After they put the first coat on, they ended up with a varnish. It's beautiful. I'm sitting here now looking at it and everyone who has seen it has said it is absolutely beautiful. If I tried to find something to complain about, I wouldn't know where to begin. Everyone, particularly the guy who did the sanding, seemed to know more about everything than anyone I've met. He was very difficult to understand because he was not a native English speaker, but he was able to answer my questions so that I understood him.
They're hard, hard workers: every one of them. They did their job and didn't fool around. And thank the lord there was no smoking, they just did their job. They were polite and honest. It's not a pleasure to have everything in your house put on the porch or in a back room. It wasn't pleasant; everything was a mess.
But they started Wednesday putting things back, and other than the fact that I don't have a carpet down anymore, I have a beautiful new floor, you'd never know anybody had been here. Everything is back where it belongs. This is something I hope I never have to go through again, but they made it as pleasant as it could be.
