After a little research, I discovered that authorized dealers who specialize in tires only have on hand the cream-of-the-crop tires. All tire manufactures have tolerance guidelines. Any tire that falls outside the guidelines will not be available for sale. Those tires that are within 'acceptable' tolerances go to the big chains like Sears, Sam's Club and such places. They're still 'good' tires, but not the absolute best. To get the tires that come closest to perfection, you have to go to Tires-only specialty stores, like the Tire Barn Warehouse. Their staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, professional and fast. I never shop without arming myself with data first, and find it funny when salespeople try to sell me something more expensive, but not of higher quality than what I wanted. \r
At the Tire Barn Warehouse, I asked many questions, (To which I already knew the answers), to test for the bologna-sales pitch routine. It didn't happen. These guys really knew what they were doing, a
