Review content:
I recently went to have some partial highlights at Hudson and Hudson for the first time. When I asked what this would cost, I was told $109. Although a bit higher than I expected, I decided to go ahead with the appointment.
While I was there, my hair stylist told me I needed numerous other services in addition to my highlighting. The combined additional cost would have been $290. I found this very pushy and presumptuous, especially on my first visit. I was also very suspicious since, in the course of our conversation, he told me that he had a young child and stay at home wife . . . must be nice . . .
To make matters worse, after my stylist finished washing my hair, he informed me that the $109 did not cover a simple blow out. I was very upset that I had not been told this when I was quoted the $109. A simple blow out is automatically included in the price at any other salon. At the age of 62, I walked out of Hudson and Hudson with very wet and unstyled hair to continue my Saturday errands.
As I left, the stylist gave me several over-sized business/advertizing cards touting the fact that he had been the stylist for several famous movie stars. I did not ask for his business card and found this very presumptuous.
There are many other salons in the Charlotte area that will offer far more for less money. It's not worth the fancy name and the high prices. Don't throw your money away at this salon!!
