I went to Monarch Dental for a cleaning and it cost me over $700 and I sat in the chair for less than 30 minutes for a deep cleaning. I had regular cleaning at other places that took an hour. They upcharge you on everything. They give you an estimated bill and tell you that you are responsible for everything that the insurance company will not pay. Before you have anything done, call your insurance company. They upsold me on several treatments that Aetna would not cover. Some of the things they will not cover are like gum treatments that are done at the time of a cleaning. I landed up paying out of pocket 50% of the total cost of the cleaning as many of the things they recommended were not covered.\r \r Hygenist is a nice woman... but did the poorest job I had in regards to a cleaning.
