My wife and I flew from McCarran airport, Las Vegas, to the Grand Canyon with our helicopter pilot Jared on 20th March, 2013. The trip was one of the first of the day. Jared was not only informative and helpful, but also a nice guy. After flying some distance down the Canyon, we landed for breakfast of Danish and champagne in the Canyon some 300ft above the river. We flew back a slightly different route and re-fuelled. On reaching Las Vegas, we were flown Downtown and then along the Las Vegas Boulevard back to the airport. For us, this was the highlight of our short break - beating the rest of Las Vegas hands-down.
