Review content:
I was picked up at the designated time from my hotel in Vegas and transported to the airport. The check in process was good and I didn't wait long before pilot Matt Jahnke came ushered me and 4 others to our helicopter. He instructed us on the safety procedures, seat belts and the radio headphones. I had some issues with a sloppy fitting shoulder belt.
I liked the choice of music pilot Matt used in our flight to the Grand Canyon and he was very informative. I especially enjoyed the canyon landing and the Champagne breakfast. It was a really special way to enjoy the Grand Canyon. I also enjoyed the later walks along the canyon edge and view points with the bus shuttles. It was unfortunate I couldn't take photos on the Skywalk, but the included lunch was fine.
I was on the full 6 hour tour, but maybe a little more time at the canyon viewpoints would have been even better. The little air & bus terminal at Canyon West was very crowded upon our return, but our pilot Matt was there to guide us away from the mayhem to our helicopter for our return to Vegas. He flew us over the Strip on our way back to the airport. I didn't have to wait at all and I was transported back to my hotel. I would definitely recommend Maverick tours for a once-in-a-lifetime Grand Canyon flight.
