Review content:
I have been to MANY Irish pubs in my day. This one, although clean and neutral smelling, seems a bit contrived and lacking. The bartender Tommy was as bitter as can be, (Don't like your job, quit!) and no, I don't have high expectations for bartenders in a pub. I do expect to get a beer. Simple. Loved the session in the next room. The music was great and there were a lot of musicians. The food was good, even bordering on great... with one hitch. I was meeting a friend I had not seen is a very long time. We both had the fish & chips, which was pretty good. (I have had a LOT of fish and chips). A few weeks later, we both were talking about how great it was to see each other blah blah blah... and compared how violently ill we both were that night at 2AM (2:30 for me). Folks this is not a coincidence. I was sick for the entire next day and chalked it up to the freaky stomach flu going around, but au contraire mon frere.
Stick to the beer here... if you can get one.
Pros: Music and cleanliness for a pub
Cons: Bad food
