Technical support is awesome. Nexcess will help you out even if the problem is caused by user ignorance rather than something they did wrong.
I tried hosting Magento with another company - a large company that does Superbowl ads. Their servers were mis-configured making installation almost impossible. To top that off, they didn't provide any sort of support. I deleted my hosting account and went with Nexcess instead.
When I bought Magento hosting from Nexcess, they gave me a hosting account with Magento already installed - that was one big thing that I didn't have to worry about.
With the other company, my Magento installation was too slow for an ecommerce website. Even if I had gotten everything to work correctly on GD I would've had to switch to faster servers. Not so with Nexcess. Compared to GD, visitors to a Nexcess Magento installation travel back in time - they save so much of it.
As a part-time web developer I will definitely advise Magento clients to host with Nexcess.
