Review content:
It is hard to know how to rank the NW location. The medical staff is great, the support staff is lacking.
Appointment was at 3:00, sat for 26min past appointment time, know one acknowledged me still sitting there not knowing what was happening. You know if a patient is 15min or over late, they have to reschedule. They have taken time out of their day to come and pay someone to see them and they are on a time clock. (I do understand some people have excuses and not reasons for being late and this is why the 15min late time exists) but there are ways to figure them out, that is part of working with people. Well my days of sitting around on my time in an office, not being paid is over. It was my choice to come to this location and pay a doctor to see me. I am not paid for being there. Yes the doctors are some of the best, but they need understanding and interested support staff to assist them. Maybe , on the second thought I am sure there are excellent support staff working there, people that care. The people in the front, the first people that patients encounter, need to be the top of the line.
I sat there watching and was getting madder and madder. People were having to stand at a window until a personal conversation was completed. How do I know they were personal, I read lips and have keen hearing when I need it.
If they had been thoughtful they would have thought ""they have been sitting there past there time I need to Get UP (novel idea)and do something about the delay. I will just go out and let that patient know they are important and we have not forgotten them.
Easy!
All you got to do is think.
I know what I am saying counts for nothing, but just think as a patient we keep them with utilities. (you know the money we or our insurance pays goes for those type
thing).
All that to say I went to the desk and said they were past my 15min grace period and would need to reschedule me at a convenient time for my schedule at no charge.
I know it is not going to bother them, i'm sure, but that location lost my business. Even if it is a convenient location for me, I will travel a ways to get good service.
I spoke to Sam Walton when he visited a Wal-mart I worked at and he gave the associates at that location an education. He simply said ""Remember there are two main rules in dealing with people. Rule 1: The other person is always right. Rule 2: If the other person is wrong, refer to Rule1, the other person is always right"".
He was laying out the way people wanted to be treated. maybe they aren't right, but there is a way to round a bout let them know.
How is that associated to what happened? I was the other person, I was right so now it is up to the staff to make me feel better about my appointment being late.
Oh so simple.
