Review content:
When we arrived in Sedona, it was dark. We took a winding road with steep declines around what we could only gather was a mountain on one side, and a cliff on the other (it was pitch black, no lights). We knew we were in beautiful country and couldn't wait to see it in the light. In the morning, it was everything we could have imagined... Sedona is incredibly beautiful and can't be truly captured in photos!! Since this was an impromptu trip, we didn't have anything planned for the day and a half that we had scheduled in Sedona. We thought about taking the Pink Jeep tours, driving around in our rental car, finding a few good hikes... we weren't sure how best to spend our day here. We drove by a few ATV rental shops on the way to our hotel which prompted me to look up different agencies. OffRoad Center offered a 2-seater TomCar with a chest with snacks and water for less than other shops ($25 off for Holiday special as well). What made them SO DIFFERENT from others is that you get to have an intimate tour of Sedona without the touristy feel of having a guide drive you through trails. We were given an introduction to the area and the TomCar and then given 4 hours to go out on our own. 4 hours is PLENTY time to see 3 different sites... we probably covered 40-50 miles worth of trails. After 4 hours, we were plenty satisfied-- you won't feel like you're missing out if you don't do the full-day rental. If you're going during the winter, be sure to start early because it gets much colder after 4:00.\r

Also, worth mentioning is that we called this agency around 12:30 p.m. without knowing that the latest rental was at 1:00-5:00 and that reservations are preferred. We arrived at the agency around 1:30 for our tour. They allowed us to have the rental from 1:30 to 5:30 so that we didn't miss out on any of our time. The man at the shop was funny, charismatic, and very informative. The trails were amazing. There were some points that we weren't sure if our TomCar could get up and over--- it took us around every crook and cranny with ease.\r

There is no other way to visit Sedona! We were truly able to take in the beauty of the red rocks and mountains without a need for tour guides and a group of strangers. We were able to stop when we wanted to, take as long as we needed for hiking and picture taking, and come and go as we pleased. In Arizona, ATVs are allowed on the roads as well. This was a bit shocking at first, but these TomCars keep up with traffic!
