The place is a dive, no one keeps up with maintenance, my husband had to fix several problems, because the maintenance man did not do the job right the first time. The air conditioner never worked like it was suppose to, and they refused to fix it. They have mold, we had mold growing in our bathroom and in the bedroom. We lived here for almost 2 years and found a new place, gave our 30 days notice, paid all rent, etc. We then asked the landlord about our deposit and she said that she would give it back no problem, but, when we moved out, she gave us every excuse why she had to keep some of it. She said she had to clean the carpet, which we had just did 2 days prior to moving out and she had to take money out to clean it. All these things you are suppose to do by law as a landlord if someone has lived there for a considerable amount of time, it is normal wear and tear, which does not come out of a tenants deposit. It has been almost 3 weeks and we have not seen the half of our deposit she said she was going to give us.
