Review content:
Repairs were long overdue on the historic house I rented from Belser Thompson. The porch was rotting beneath my feet. The maintenance man advised that I don't have any company up there. When I asked him what Mr. Thompson thought of the decay and the risk of someone getting hurt, he told me Thompson said ""that's what insurance is for"". When I moved out, I cleaned meticulously and left the place in much better condition than when I moved in. My security deposit return check was docked for the following: $30 for batteries for smoke detectors (there were 3 of them). $20 for an air filter (standard size ran around $5 at Walmart). $115 for ""cleaning"". If you feel like being treated as nothing more than a cash cow, rent away, I however will never do business with this company again.
