Review content:
I stayed in the Honeymoon Suite and loved having the cemetery right next door. We even jumped the fence to read the headstones. The whole place is romantic. It's not jammed full of business conventions or screaming children so it was heaven to me. The bar and restaurant were filled with fresh and organic ingredients put together in some new combinations for us. I really wish I would have taken the martin list home with me. Amazing! There is a local grocery store with gourmet foods, wine and cheese that you can grab with no effort to take with you on a hike or picnic.
We had a blast talking to the hotel staff and bartenders. The only way you can truly get the feel of a small town is to talk to the people of the town. They were full of great stories and hiking advice.
I can't wait to get back to what I will now call ""my room"" at the MacCallum house. That huge bed, huge tub and serenity is already calling me back.
Pros: Great staff & amazing rooms.
