Review content:
Before joining with Nationwide, I had a seething hate for all insurance companies due to multiple bad experiences while in my 20's. I served time with State Farm, Allstate and even those bargain-basement basic insurance companies. I finally joined NW when my fiance' (now wife) recommended them. Her Dad, a Farmer has been a member for over 30 years and his father before him as well as other family members. Skeptical, I joined and had the privilege of meeting one John Laquatra. His down-home and old-fashioned way of doing business was refreshing and I didn't feel like I needed to take a shower after shaking his hand. He is one of the most genuine people I've ever met and has never accepted anything short of going above and beyond to assist my family in all our insurance needs. Here's one example: While building a garage at my new house, we experienced a torrential rainstorm as we are often known to here in SW PA. My BMW was parked on a slight hill at just the right angle to absorb the rain into the main computer, essentially killing my car. John came to the rescue. The car was towed to the dealer where it was bought (and no longer under warranty) and when they refused to replace the part to honor a recall I was unaware of, other Nationwide Insurance agents immediately ensured me I had nothing to worry about and that they'd take care of it and deal with the dealership directly. They did. Two weeks later, I had my car back with a new computer and running like a champ again. The cost was $2800.00 and that was just labor. The dealership was forced to honor the recall and only the deductible came out of my pocket. In fact the whole process was so painless, I never had to call anyone but John the day it happened. That was 7 years ago and still they continue to impress me. Did my insurance rates go up? Not a penny. If you're looking for an agent, look no further than John Laquatra and Nationwide. As once was said to me, ""You won't be dissappointed."" So true.
