If you don't mind waiting long periods for substandard dental work this is the place for you.\r
\r
I had three appointments, was on time for each, and waited an hour or more each time. They schedule several people at the same time to fill their waiting room then meter them into dental chairs at their convenience, sort of a boiler room approach.\r
\r
I have DeltaCare which shows a pre-negotiated co pay of $425 for porcelain crown on noble metal, with a $150 additional charge if it is a molar. That's $575 total. They disregard the pre-negotiated fees of this HMO and then charge you $765. Nice mark up guys! \r
\r
They also told me I need 6 new crowns as my other dentist missed these when I visited him three times a year. But with this overcharging why not tell the patient to replace all those old crowns. After all, how else to make those Mercedes payments. \r
\r
It wouldn't be so bad if 1) the bonding on my front tooth hadn't fallen out in less than 30 days, 2) had they not made matters worse by enlarging the chipped area unecessarily (my prior dentist did not do this and his bonding lasted a year), or 3) had they not used some cheap dental lab in Corona to make a poor casting for the crown with a vertical ridge down one side that is annoying. Now I will have to have both the bonding and the crown redone elsewhere.\r
\r
But if you don't mind waiting long periods for poor work, and then being overcharged for it, this is the place for you. \r
