Review content:
This business is very shady and will rip off military any way that they can. The owner, Hugh Meade, is a retired Army person who knows the ins and outs of the system and will try to work it any way he can. I will summarize our experiences with this company as 5,000 words won't even come close to being able to explain how terrible this company is. The lease is written with very shady parts, if you don't believe me take it to Fort Rucker Jag, they are in the process of bringing Realty Executives up in front of the Black List committee for the second time. The Lease reads that joint inspections will not occur. This means that they will do a final inspection 2 weeks after you turn in your key when you are at your next base so that any repairs that need done they will charge you to do them. Even simple things like sweeping the front porch. They will not give you a detailed inspection list for cleaning only an overview list that they may or may not inspect. They also will not let you schedule carpet cleaning, they insist on scheduling the cleaners. Only after pressure from our lawyer did they give us names of companies to get quotes from. After receiving an itemized receipt it turns out that Realty Executives owns its own carpet cleaning business that they use. The cleaning occurs after you turn in keys or so they say. No one really knows if they even do the cleaning. The lease also states that the electric and water has to stay on ten business days after the keys are turned in so you are paying for electric and water when you aren't even there. Repairs take forever if they even happen. Our AC was out on a Friday and we gave key permission for that day. On Monday after Realty Executives said the AC was fixed and worked all weekend the AC repair man still had my key and came into my house while I was in the shower. Imagine stepping out of the shower with a strange man in your house. Realty Executives said Oops there was a new girl in maintenance who didn't know the key policy. They are also known for losing or refusing to sign initial inspection sheets so that the renter has to pay for all the damage in the house when they leave. There were many more terrible experiences but before you rent/buy from this company do your research, call JAG on Rucker. Do you want to do business with someone who is up for the 2nd time on the black list committee? Do your homework and protect yourself!!!
