Review content:
I am a Licensed Social Worker. I sought individual therapy at Lotus Group to address multiple life stressors and specifically deal with an eating disorder. Patrick Hall (owner) assigned me to an unlicensed (he never disclosed this fact to me prior to making the referral) therapist (Evie Jacobs) whom he advertises on his website as ""specializing in eating disorders."" From the beginning of my work with Evie she displayed a very nonchalant attitude, poor boundaries and blatant disregard for my feelings by bringing food (including ice cream) into our sessions to eat, frequently checking her cell phone, acting completely uninterested, and eventually texting in the middle of sessions. There was never a time that she dressed or behaved in a professional manner. In a final session she discussed another patient's issues loudly in the hall with another colleague enabling me to hear the entire conversation. Then proceeded to tell me that she ""saved"" a fellow psychiatrist at Lotus by ""firing a client"" who mistreated this psychiatrist when the owner and office manager were not available. After taking the time to share with the owner (Patrick Hall) that my feelings were invalidated, my boundaries violated and many other concerns I had about not being able to continue therapy with his agency as result of this therapists actions, he offered no compensation for the time, energy or emotional investment I wasted in sessions. Odd from a man who offers a ""No Questions Asked 100% Money-Back Satisfaction Guarantee."" Would NEVER recommend to anyone seeking therapy.
