In mid November 2010, My Beloved, Dear, 24/7 Caring Grandma MS. Saint Wanda Nida passed away in this uncaring, cold-indifferent, lowly """"hospital."""" They coldly PUT HER ON ventilator for way too long, we wanted to take her down on oxygen mask but staff & """"doctors"""" did not recommend saying it's too dangerous. We were lost. I wish we did, if she was to die, fine, at least we could have had final conversation with her. Because of tubes she was on on for 10 days she was unable to say anything & her organism weakened thus leading to multiple organ failure, septic shock. It's not death that I am against, we all must die (thank goodness, it's the only justice left in the world we must face sooner or later), but the memory of her being uncomfortable in that ventilator tube. I wish I can go back in time to November 10 when she was pretty much OK & simply wait for the doctor to give order to take tubes out. \r \r
Nurse Ewa said she was getting better, so i though hey let's wait 2 more days why not, let's make her really better, by 7th day, we'll surely take the darn tube out no matter what. Dr. Maher Najjar (who also works at 2525 S Michigan Ave Chicago, IL 60616). This internist, pulmonary """"doctor of """" 15 years of experience"""" is no doctor, he never replied to any calls, never recommended anything. If u r on ventilator tube it's possible ventilator pneumonia germ will cause pneumonia & at this age is not recommended! Only few nurses were good, rest were pathetic. My grandmother was saved in ER (november 6) & I am greateful only to doctor David there, he saved her! But the ICU where she was moved later on, wow, the staff is absolute garbage. Dr. Maher Najjar, her pulmonary doctor, I have no words for him & his associates, all are absolute cold lowlifes, he should be animal doctor, even animals would prefer to die rather be treated by him. Im heartbroken. My life will no longer be the same. Dont stay too long at these animal hospitals. When u get better, run away! They Very rude people, even called security when I called. When my grandmother was about to die, they called doctor Ivanov who treats critical patients, but why was she called when it was too late, to show off hospital is doing its business right? Her primary physician Meera Madappallel (also works at 2425 W 22nd in oak brook) did it only after I complained my grandmother to highter authorities is not getting proper treatment for kidneys! I could go on forever with this story. Out of 10 days in her hospital, I faxed something 9 times to remind the doctors, nurses to better look over her. They even accused me of being doctor. I had no idea dental technician is MD in their stupid empty minds! \r
If it was God's will for my grandma was to go, ok, I guess, but not this way, not this way to remember her final days. It's so hard to cope for me & mom & uncle!!! \r
