Review content:
I recently had an oil change at Goodyear here in Shelbyville. I only drove the car a block the next day. The following day I ran errands (a Sunday) and the engine light and VSA light came on. I looked in the vehicle's manual and found that the VSA was the sensor for the tires and the engine light had something to do with emissions. I work out of town and since the car appeared to be running okay so I drove to work. One of my co-workers owns a business on the side and he brought his tester in. He thought it was a camshaft sensor issue. When he opened the hood we found that the oil cap was left off and oil was all over the inside of the hood and the I got oil on my hands from the hood stand. I took my car to Goodyear on Friday and told them what happened. They apologized and said they would clean and re-grease the engine. I picked up the car that evening and drove about a mile before the light came back on. I then drove it to Kroger to do my grocery shopping. I came back out and the car would crank buy not start. I had it towed to Ed Martin in Indy. I notified the new service manager and he asked that Ed Martin's service manager call him. To date their diagnosis is is that Goodyear either started my car without oil in it or not enough oil in it and the cost for repair will be starting at $800. The service manager at Goodyear has yet to return my call. According to the service manager at Ed Martin, Goodyear has opened a claim with their insurance company and they are sending an inspector some time this week and I am without a vehicle. I do not recommend this Goodyear location to anyone...I have been a long-time customer since the early 90's!
