Review content:
The Steak and Main has been one of my favorite restaurants in North East. I have raved about it and recommended it many of times over the years. But I must say how disappointed I was yesterday. My daughter and grandson are visiting from Knoxville TN, we had went to many of the shoppes on Main Street having a great time, enjoying the day and went to Steak on Main for lunch because I wanted to share a delicious meal with her. Upon entering we were informed that we could not bring in the baby stroller in because of it would cause a fire hazard, which I don't believe but ok. We could not sit on the deck with stroller either, hmmm. So we placed it outside in an area off to the side of deck as instructed to. I asked if we could sit were we could see the stroller and we were accommodated with that request. We then asked for a high chair for the child and were told ""oh sorry we don't have highchairs here"", well needless to say we couldn't comfortably eat a meal in your establishment. Although the staff were not rude we definitely felt unwelcomed from entering the door but this sealed that feeling. Too top it off I wrote to the owner and received sarcasm from him: ""sorry to disappoint you. my restaurants have never had hi-chairs and the no stroller policy came last year as customers with strollers on numerous occasions would not keep paths clear for other guest and staff. so just like restaurants in Disney World we decided to not allow them in dining areas."" \r No problem , Woody's was very welcoming, stroller and all. They even had a high chair!!! Lunch was delicious as usual and the staff superb. I'm sure my not returning to Steak on Main is no dent in revenue but may affect future potential cliental when it comes to recommending his restaurants and referring to his response.
