Total let down. I had heard good things and even though it was way out of my way, I decided to give this place a try since there was a groupon. I bought my $20 for $10 groupon and set off to get a good deal. When I got there the disappointments started. First there was an unpleasant smell, then the meat prices were more than 2x what you pay at kroger or publix. Even with the groupon I paid about $10 more than I would have for the same thing at publix. Hamburger was over $5 a pound. No specials. I looked at the packages on the wall and none of them are a good deal if you are really price conscious. I pointed out that the prices ,even with the groupon ,were much higher than the grocery stores to the male attendant (who I later was told was the boss) and his response was yeah . I would at least think he would offer some explanation for why they are charging premium prices. I wouldn t mind paying top dollar if they were offering something better than publix. A good bit of the meat in the case was turning brown, kinda gross. But I was invested in the groupon so I went ahead and bought a few $16 a pound new york strips ($13 per lb after the groupon) that I normally pay $8-$10 a pound for and went on my way. The only good thing I have to say is the blonde woman who checked me out was extremely personable. I cooked the steaks up and they were good but nothing special. I ll stick to publix. I went to save $10 and it ended up costing me an extra $10.
