Gus's is not the best barbecue restaurant in LA, but for a pleasant dining experience with nice ambience, friendly staff and a decent meal it definitely works. I am not the biggest fan of barbecue, but their choices seemed reasonable and my steak was excellent and filling. The dinner salad could have had a little more ""oommph"", but it was good. I think the best thing about Gus's is the people. The staff was so friendly, and there are always ""regulars"" filling booths and tables. A foursome walked us through the menu and offered their own recommendations to my husband and me. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
