Review content:
This is one of the very few reviews that I have ever written. It's just not my thing. But I felt compelled, so here goes:\r
\r
I had heard great things about acupuncture and about Isa Holloway. Like another reviewer I read, it was an MD who initially suggested that I try acupuncture, and that I try Isa in particular, but I still had my doubts as I called to make an appointment. I've been down so many dead-end roads seeking relief from my pain and lethargy. But after speaking with Isa, I felt encouraged. And I also felt heard, which was a pleasant surprise. He couldn't have been more patient and courteous, giving me several pertinent references to clinical trials on acupuncture conducted by leading medical schools and by the Mayo Clinic. \r

When I entered his office, I was greeted by his assistant, who was very welcoming. After I filled out a medical history intake form, she entered my contact information into a computer database. She couldn't have been sweeter. A nutritionist / esthetician, a massage therapist, a holistic MD, and a Chiropractor all share the second floor of the building with Coastal Acupuncture. I got to meet a couple of them in passing and was very impressed with the professionalism all around.\r

I was told that I was welcomed to relax in one of the waiting rooms after the treatment and have complimentary herbal teas or spring water. Then she took me to my room. Ambient lighting, wonderfully relaxing music, the option of an adjustable lambswool heating pad beneath the sheet on my table, and interesting tapestries and decor welcomed me. I was also impressed that there was a voice-activated monitor on the wall, so that if I could easily call her or Isa during my treatment if I wanted to.\r

Then Isa came in, full of life and enthusiasm. His eyes sparkled as he took my pulse, looked at my tongue and explained the basics of acupuncture theory and its interesting path from being shunned to being widely accepted in the western medical field. Isa's father, an old-fashined country Doctor who still makes house-calls in rural Georgia, loves Acupuncture. \r

The treatment itself was just incredible. Painless. Interesting. And actually fun! He asked if I wanted an eye pillow and a mist of rose water along with a guided meditation. I've never meditated, but I was very intrigued, and I trusted Isa, so I agreed. What followed was so relaxing and other-worldly that I can't really describe it. I knew that I wasn't asleep, and yet I felt like I was floating and surrounded by my guardian angels. I appreciated immensely that Isa never pushed any dogma or religious beliefs. What he spoke about was being in the present moment. Allowing the worries of my mind to rest as I became more and more aware of the sounds of the ocean waves, the sea gulls, the warmth of the ""sand"" beneath me, the music and my breathing. In my entire adult life, I have never, really never, felt that relaxed and at peace. \r

Five months later, my chronic aches and pains are still at bay. My hip pain, knee pain and plantar issues are just gone. Needles to say, I am a very happy camper! I still use the acupressure methods that Isa taught me, and I enjoy a very sweet quiet time not just in the morning but unexpectedly during the day. According to my friends and family, I am a much less stressed-out and a much nicer person. And I have the get-up-and-go that I used to have years ago! \r
\r
In conclusion, let me say that I have sent my husband, my son and his wife, two of my grandchildren and numerous friends to Isa. They all had similar experiences. Wherever you are in the country or in the world, do yourself a favor: find yourself an acupuncturist. And if you're in Savannah, Georgia, make an appointment with Isa.
