There's not enough space here to tell my whole story, but DO NOT SET FOOT IN THIS HOSPITAL or you will be sorry. Do not allow your family or anyone you know to enter this hospital, either through the emergency room or as an inpatient. This is an incredibly understaffed hospital, and the staff there are neglectful, uncaring, and don't take patient care or their jobs seriously.\r \r For emergency care, use the Urgent Care Clinic on the other side of the freeway. Legacy Salmon Creek will make you wait for at least three hours in their emergency room even if you are the only one in the place. And if you are NOT the only one there, the wait could be six hours or more. And the staff loves to laugh at the patients who are suffering in their waiting room.\r \r Don't allow any of your loved ones to be admitted as an inapatient, either. The nurses simply ignore the call buttons. My wife, suffering from diverticulosis and in great pain, actually had to crawl out of her bed and across the floor to the nurse's station in order to acquire pain medication. She was in this hellhole for 6 days, seeing a doctor only once, for about 15 minutes. She was kicked out late one evening when the hospital declared that her insurance (Blue Cross) wouldn't pay for another night in the hospital, and I had to go pick her up, still in great pain, at 10:00 PM. She later had 6"" of her colon removed, insisting that the surgery not be performed at Legacy Salmon Creek. She had the surgery at Mt. Hood Medical Center, where they treated her like a patient instead of a nuisance.\r \r My experience in their emergency room was even worse. After waiting more than three hours with an appendicitis, I realized I would be waiting at least another three hours before being admitted. I went to an Urgency Care Clinc, where I saw a doctor within minutes.\r \r Sooner or later, Legacy Salmon Creek is going to very publicly cause someone to die through neglect. DON'T LET IT BE YOU OR ONE OF YOUR LOVED ONES. Pros: Shiny, gleaming new hospital Cons: Extremely understaffed, horrible caregivers who don't care and laugh at you
