Review content:
We were out-of-town tourists relying on restaruant guides for our eating selections. In July 2002 we selectec Tarbell's. My reservation for six was accepted and our party was greated by name as we walked in the door. On the evening in questionthe six of us decided to order one of each appetizer on the menu (there were six to choose from) and share the first plate offerings. What a home run...cornmeal calamari, smoked rock shrimp w/plum tomato relish, steamed mussels, steamed artichoke, etc....everyone a winner. Everything was exceptionally fresh. The grilled Salmon with a molasses-lime glaze and the Pepper Steak won special praise...stay for dessert, you won't be sorry. When I had a question about a particular dish the chef came to my table to explain the preparation...WOW!
Pros: Freshness, Friendly staff
