OMG, I read Shoppingnola entry and sounded like my almost exact experience. I feel so validated after reading that review, cause I couldn't imagine treating people in that manner. Maybe they pick and choose who they treat that way, or maybe its their reaction to when they screw up. I too wrote everything down as i had a custom ordered laptop , so needed special instructions on where to find drivers and the software that specially needed to be on it, ( which wasn't when I picked it up). I tryed talking to the teck, but the MOM wouldn't let me. She couldn't understand some of the technical instructions. She was so nice before any work began. I brought in for estimate as someone who damaged it was paying for it. They didn't return my powercord, evenso was dropped off afterwards. I didn't think anything at that point, so when they got the money for the work sent to them, it wasn't long I was told I could pick it up. OH MY, when I looked at the desktop and what needed to be there wasn't, the son ran down the stairs and started cursing me among other nasty comments and mentioned police and ordered me to get my stuff and get out. I was outside falling apart and he came out and somewhat tryed to assist and said I could call if there were any issues as I had to be somewhere else and was late. After getting home to set everything up, as they had my printer as well, the power cord to it wasn't there. Then after getting online, none of the updates that were paid extra for were there and have wierd error messages. I called the place and MOM said to that, ""What did I do to it"" and then told the daughter and she said ""Oh its a setting i forgot to fix"" and said my power cord was in the box,,,after a couple it was found, ""OH this smoke smelling one must be yours"" and said would be brought , not to ever go to their store again. My error boxes are still there, who knows if its a setting, the software to control WIFI is missing, still no power cord and a ton of hang ups and letting message machine pick up with no return call......I will save the rest,,,,,who knows if you will be a lucky one or not,,,,I wouldn't send a dog there.....Now I will likly have to pay someone else to fix their mistakes, maybe even have to buy another power cord, if I can find one.
