Review content:
Long story long, I spent over 4,000 dollars (start to finish) to have arnica install an air conditioner unit and they left without the unit running. I called the owner (Simon) and asked him to have his crew finish it, and he told me it was the electrician's fault it wasn't working and that ""the electrician will never be able to fix it"", and continued unprompted, ""I will pay you if the electrician can fix it"". I reiterated, ""I don't care whose fault it is, I just want the air conditioner running"". So he sends one of his ""crew"", who without doubt has never worked on an air conditioner unit in his life, and he makes one four minute awkward call to Mistubishi and hangs up. I say ""so what's the deal?"". He says ""I don't know what the problem is, but Mitsubishi will call back in the next two hours"". In my head I think ""this is a huge waste of time, I'm neglecting my own job, and I could've made that phone call without an inept a/c repair man in my house"". I quickly accept the waste of time factor, but then he says ""you owe me another 200 dollars"". I said ""but you didn't do anything"". He becomes confused about this interaction and calls his abusive boss (Simon). Simon gets on the phone with me and says ""we are done with the installation, you're wasting our time, but I'll ""absorb"" the 200 dollars this time"". I said, ""but I paid you thousands of dollars to get this a/c running and you didn't, and I would pay you another 200 dollars, but your guy didn't do anything"". He angrily quipped, ""we installed it, it's not our problem it doesn't run"". Again in my head, I find this strange because I thought the whole idea of paying someone (thousands of dollars), is so it's someone else's problem to get it running. We end the conversation unresolved and in my frustration I do some online investigation and call Mistubishi to find out why it's so hard for these ""professionals"" to figure out the problem. Within 20 minutes and a few basic reset issues, I have the unit running. In my head I think, ""seems like that should be the first thing they do when there's a problem, and shouldn't my THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS have covered a reset issue?"". After all is said and done, I'm forced to apologize to the electrician who I accused of incompetent work (based on Arnica's expertise), I'm forced to apologize to the Mitsubishi representative who I accused of giving me a faulty machine (based on Arnica's expertise), and I'm forced to apologize to my boss for missing three days of work, when I was told one (based on Arnica's expertise). Point being ... Arnica seems to think they are doing everyone a favor (regardless of what you spend). I would never use or recommend Arnica Heating and Air Conditioning for any job.
