VEGETARIANS BEWARE! You may get meat in your meal even when you state that you are a vegetarian.\r \r I have been to this Carrabba's many times. This was the worst experience by far and has moved this restaurant from a 3.5 to a 0 for me and my family.\r \r So many things went wrong during this meal, but I'm just going to focus on the unforgivable part - you may not even believe that this could happen. \r \r 6 of us were celebrating my daughter's success at obtaining her driver's license that Saturday morning. My daughter is a vegetarian. She ordered Penne Franco, which comes as a vegetarian dish by default. She requested no olives or artichokes.\r \r Her order arrived as described on the menu - with olives and artichokes. We told the server, who apologized and put the order back in. Everyone else had their food - 2 others at the table were missing things from their orders, but those issues were resolved quickly. \r \r After about 10 minutes or so, the server brought her dish back. It had no olives or artichokes, but this time it had chicken in it! We had to get her attention yet again - my daughter explained that she is a vegetarian and she does not each chicken. Dish #2 was sent back.\r \r This time, the dish came back in less than 3 minutes. My daughter moved the pasta around in her bowl to confirm the contents before taking a bite and guess what she found? CHICKEN! The sneaky chefs had simply removed the chicken that was visible from dish #2 and sent it back to us as dish #3! If he'd removed all of the chicken, she would not have known that the meal was prepared with chicken touching the pasta and vegetables - this is completely unacceptable for a vegetarian. I have to think that management somehow condones this sort of thing - looking the other way, etc. - or the chef never would have pulled such a scumbag move. Absolutely appalling.\r \r At this point, I'm horrified and start to complain loudly. The manager comes by and says he will take her dish off of the check. The expediter is screaming at the kitchen staff. The server apologizes for the 20th time.\r \r Everyone else has finished eating 10 minutes ago. Dish #4 comes out. Finally, it is correct.\r \r Our server apologizes some more and then offers everyone at our table free dessert as a consolation prize. My daughter opts to pack her meal and eat dessert with everyone else. 3 of us order tiramisu and 2 order other items.\r \r 10+ minutes later, the server comes back, apologizing again, and tells us that they are out of tiramisu!!!! - and would we like something else? That was it - we couldn't leave fast enough.\r \r My husband emailed Carrabba's the next day to express how upset he was about the whole fiasco. It's been 4 days and no reply. I doubt we will get one.\r \r I am NEVER EVER EVER going to this restaurant again.
