Review content:
I've had my GP located at Midcape medical for more than 5 years. I'm the type of person who goes into the doctor, knows what is wrong and how to fix it, and then wants to leave. Midcape suits me well for this: I don't get 10 minutes of chitchat about the weather or how I oughta be more active. They work very hard for their patients, whether it means calling around to get the quickest appointment with a specialist or doing much of their blood work in-house.
The cons are that it's a walk-in clinic.
Some of the clientele makes me want to pull my purse a little closer. Like the commenter below me, many are there seeking drugs, and MCM isn't the place for that. There are always loads of folks coming in to get tested for TB (Thanks, undocumented Brazilians!) .
Some of the doctors are not exactly cream of the crop: a very nice nurse or PA treats many patients instead of an MD, and several doctors on staff are ""semi-retied"". The old pokes should have settled down in Happy Retirement Acres years ago, and my one encounter with Mr. 100 was that he was happy to regale me of stories of the past but had no friggen clue what was wrong with me.
Pros: Great doctors, get it done attitude, no wait for an appt.
Cons: Dangerous part of town, some bad apples, billing is crap
