July 13th 2013, I was visiting the neighbor electrician about wiring my lights on the garage, while I was across the street someone open my secured gate and let my ""new"" Dachshund puppy, ""Banjo"" and along came my other Dachshund ""Dolce' out into the street which had four years old and had all the obedience training. (AKCG 7 certificates and a metal.) Dolce has never went out of the yard. Soon--- Banjo was howling and crying over Dolce' hit by at passing gold blazer, lady pulled over up the street and took off. In a state of shock and my Dolce' laying on the street--- I picked her up and ran to my car and placed her on a bed that is on the seat. I ended up driving to Spokane---Emergency Pet Clinic close's to my home with no shoes, They would not let me see Dolce' after demanding $850.00 when they had not even done anything for $850.00. I demanded to see my Dolce' to make sure she was getting a IV and pain med's so she would not go into shock! The young male Veterinarian finally took me back after calling Spokane Police Dept. to see Dolce', I told them money is no issue and that I would have to go home and get my credit card because I do not carry with me after getting my purse stolen yrs ago and to protect my accounts from theft. I had no shoes on and in a state of shock, I called the police first off because they would not let me see my dog until payment. I walked home to get my credit card and called another one of Dolce's Veterinarian--- they said get Dole' ""out of there"" and take her to a Pet Emergency in Idaho. When I returned with my credit card they ""had locked"" the door's and would not take my payment or let me in to get my dog.. Calling the police again. Another couple show up with their dog and ran door bell they let them in and I followed behind them with my credit card to pay $410.00 and take my dog. The lady at the desk was so unprofessional and a little busy body sticking her noise into my business. I had called Spokane Police talked with Justin and Jeniffer multiple times. They advised my me rights in getting my dog out of there. I told Justin that in a state of shock--- I forgot my flip flops--shoes. I new you can get a ticket driving without shoes. This is why I walked home to call another Vet and get my credit card. This place should be shut down. They have to much over head to pay that don't do their job correctly and I'm afraid the business is in debt more than we know!!! This Spokane, Emergency Pet Clinic,21 E. Mission Ave, are taking advantage of the public's hardships with pet owner's making fast buck's for not giving medical care seriously or will not be provided unless you pay first for your pet... Dolce' I took to Idaho vet owned by County Sheriff and his wife they took great care of Dolce' over night with IV's running, pain med's and even took X-Ray's all for $518.25. They even transferred me to a Vet to do the surgery---"" Washington State University"" WSU need's to have a satellite in Spokane and shut places like this down that are not equip to do anything for your pet medically. Speaking from someone who has a medical licence and cares for people. Docle' has a shattered pelvis and fracture femur. Dolce had the best care and after surgery is walking again within the two week's of the accident. ($410.00, did nothing) ($518.25 did everything and placed surgery WSU-- $3,200.00 totaling all care.)
