Bottom line... he will not be there for a bride in distress if he is needed... period\r \r Here are the details:\r We booked him and our venue cancelled on us (story below) with 7 months to go before the wedding. He did not care to work with us at all and said basically ""a contract is a contract""... so poof $1000 is gone that we will never see again.\r \r I do understand the details of the contract we signed with him (and his wife who does hair and makeup), but I wanted to give them every opportunity to work with us to reach some reasonable compromise. Sadly neither of them shared my interest whatsoever.\r \r The bottom line is that we were put into a bad situation through no fault of out own (cancelled venue due to permit issues) and David was given advanced notice of the issue (as we informed him and his wife of the issues on Feb 27th - less than 2 months after signing a contract and 7 months before the event), and EVERY SINGLE ONE of our other vendors not named Zwickerhill refunded our deposit fully as they expressed their heartfelt sympathy for what we had been forced to go through.\r \r Make no mistake, his portfolios do paint a pretty picture of what type of work he can do when motivated to do so, but the fact is that a bride forced to deal with adversity simply cannot rely on him (or his wife) to stand by her so I feel other brides should be warned.\r \r P.S. I even offered him time to work with us (I sent him the above on May 30th)... and told him I would have to spread the word around... he didn't even care to reply
