We were passing through, for one night, on the way to Maine, with our 6-year old granddaughter, for vacation. This place was recommended by the reception clerk at our nearby hotel. When we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly staff. They don't take credit cards, which is fine, as they do have an ATM there, if you need cash. As we sat down, we were asked for what we wanted to drink. My granddaughter asked for chocolate milk. She was chatting with the man behind the counter and he very nicely, sent her a surprise of a small, chocolate milk shake. What a nice thing to do! She had a cheeseburger and I had a cheeseburger with with fried onions. My husband had the fish and chips. The waitress told us that all meats and fish are bought fresh, daily, and not frozen. Since I am used to living with a cook, we can attest to the fact that nothing was frozen, all fresh. All of our dishes were delicious. It's a small place, but we decided, on our return trip, on our ""on the way home"" stopover, to eat there again. Is it gourmet? No, it's clean, it's friendly and good, cookin'. What else do you need?
