Finally! I found a reliable pool store. I've had a horrible time finding a knowledgeable, nice, reliable and dependent pool store since I bought a house with a pool last summer. I've literally been to 4 other places before finding Ryan at Anthony and Sylvan Pools in Montgomery and couldn't be happier. They're water testing technology is far superior than anywhere else I went and is far more consistent. Some of the inferior places (like Leslie's) use cheap test strips (like the ones you can buy) and give their best estimate of the color change. A&S uses sophisticated computer based photospectrometry technology. I've had to bring water samples in multiple times in the same week as I was making some changes and the parameters we were not changing remained very consistent. Most importantly, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and actually expresses an interest in the customers and their pool issues. Their chemicals are probably a little more expensive, but they are definitely a higher quality (for instance their shock is 99% pure vs. 60-70% at cheaper places). I highly recommend this store and am so glad I can stop driving all around trying to find a reliable pool service store.
