*****BAD INSURANCE PRACTICES****** Be VERY careful. I have never used Horizon eye care before today and will never again. I think they are running some type of insurance fraud at the office in Ocean City and I will tell you why. When I came into the office I presented the staff with my insurance card and flexible( fsa ) spending card. After my routine eye exam that I receive 1 every 2 years with in network providers at NO charge I went to pick up my prescription and the front desk person tells me I have a $40 copay. I do not but was unsure so I give her the fsa card. She swipes it but says it probably will not work ""its our machine not your card"". So I then give her my debit card and she processes the $40. I go home and call my insurance they verify my insurance and advise me that I have NO copay. I then ask my insurance company to call the office they speak with Audrey at Horizon Eye Care she did and advised the lady I HAVE NO COPAY!!! And they still will not give me back the money they never should have charged me in the first place.\r The nurse that did my pre screen was wonderful and personable as was Dr Munn he was professional and caring.
