We and our children could not be happier with the staff and teachers. After a welcome transition of the principal and vice-principal in Fall 2012, the school is efficient, personable, highly creative and extremely responsive. There has been little to no teacher transition. My three-year-old knows his alphabet: upper & lower case, counts to 100, mastered phonics, shapes, colors, and calendar, familiar with addition & subtraction, and is learning Spanish. Fees for extra-curricular activities (soccer, dance, computers, etc.) are very reasonable. Beginning Fall 2013, teachers will incorporate iPads in the classroom. I also like the option to send my school-age child to CBA when PWC schools are closed for a very modest fee. Most of all, my children are happy, safe, and creative. If I could recommend changes, I would like to improve the variety of the outdoor space, and the lunch nutrition; (the quality of food is good, and children like the food very much). However, the school has made these two priorities, and I've already seen changes in the menu nutrition. I also think uniforms - although not a rigid standard - are impractical for PreK. Highly, highly recommend CBA Gainesville.
