My Mazda 626 Check engine light was on for a while, then my engine start to rev higher. I took it to AAMCO for their free Diagnoses. They found a engine sensor code in the computer that was causing the check engine light and the transmission to slip. I did not know a engine sensor could cause a transmission problem. I thought I need a new transmission. I am glad I found a honest transmission shop. They told me if I had not gotten the sensor replaced soon enough it could have caused a major transmission problem.
