Businiess name:  Highway 52 & 8 Shell Svc Sta

Review content:
Please take heed to what the person above is saying about lousy service. The Hwy 52 Shell is a complete rip-off. I witnessed a similar incident in 2011. I was given an estimate of about $250- $300 for auto repairs. I ended up paying about $1300. This is how the company operated: The service manager asked me if I would leave my car overnight so that he could analyze it. Bad move on my part. After three days of not receiving a response, I made a surprise visit to the station. The service manager had already torn my car apart (without my consent) and told me that it would cost $360+ for labor to re-assemble it if I wanted to take it to someone else. Even though I was highly upset, I informed him not to do anything else that would increase that total without consulting me first. Otherwise, I may not be able to pay the repairs. Then too, I could not afford to waste $360+ Over a course of three weeks, the service manager called himself fixing one problem and took it upon himself to correct other problems that were not discussed. In the final analysis, we discovered that a simple starter replacement would had taken care of all problems. In addition, I was given initial quotes on several items. When I spoke to the manager again, there was always a $30+ difference in these quotes. He claimed that he didn't include taxes in the offset. When I finally got the car back, the interior light stayed on while driving (and that's still the case right now), the door locks are messed up, and the key does not chime when left in the engine. However, warranty or no warranty, I do not want Hwy 52 Shell to touch my vehicle ever again. I left out a lot of details, and I could go on and on about this nightmare and the unauthorized charges that were added to the bill -- including the cost of gasoline for test driving the vehicle. But I am going to end here. So, please, please, please go elsewhere and take your vehicle there. You will be sad if you do not follow my advice.
