Friendly but expensive! Yes, I joined city search today and have only reviewed this company. No, I am not a fake reviewer. I felt that after reading the above reviews I could provide a bit of balance to the review list.\r

We noticed the unfinished part of our basement pooling with water near our HVAC system. After ruling out a plumbing issue... we realized we were in need of an HVAC service provider. We were referred to this company by another of our service providers (who is AWESOME, honest, and reliable) and were told we would be given ""his"" rate. \r
\r
Two days after we called, a very nice quiet technician showed up for our service call. We didn't feel that the issue was emergent enough to pay the emergency rate, so we scheduled it this way on purpose. The tech looked around and found our condensate pump was shot, and needed to be replaced. Estimated cost? $675. Yipes! We tried to bargain a bit (""we'd like to get a second opinion""... ""we were referred to you, is this the referral rate?"") to little avail. The company was able to come down to $600.\r

We luckily called a family friend who services HVACs in the suburb area of Philly for a second opinion. They told us the part costs ~$50 and said it may be worth paying the service fee $107 incl tax to ask Fahrenheit to go home. Our family friend was our knight in shining armor when he came to the next day to fix things. If we did not have this family friend connection, I would certainly a) research the cost of things before agreeing to any costs b) try to bargain or c) see if you can get competing offers over the phone without them coming to the house and charging service fee.\r

Fahrenheit was courteous, and respectful. I'm sure they are busy this time of year and can afford to charge those prices. I'm sure they do great work. Luckily for us, we weren't in a position where we had to pay that price.
