Review content:
Drove from Durham after hearing so much about Bon's. Ordered the fried chicken/rib combination. and greens. The chicken was tasty, the ribs were awful. I can't believe anyone would dream of boiling babyback ribs - Bon's does. The result - completely tasteless (ditto for the greens.) I asked to replace my ribs with another piece of chicken instead. My waitress was unsure, so the manager came out. He said "we don't do that". Gee, I'd hate to see them lose a buck over some uneaten ribs and keep a customer. My experience of their inflexibility wasn't unique. I overhead a woman order mashed potatoes & gravy with extra gravy. When her waitress returned, the woman asked about the extra gravy; she was told no. Bon's can't spare the cost of a couple of extra spoonfuls of gravy? I won't to back. If you love flavorful food, save yourself the trip.
Pros: fried chicken
Cons: worst ribs in NC, desire 4 cust. satis.
